Went out for a ride on the Mten. 10 minutes into the ride and I tried to beat the kids in a race. Over powered my Mten and it cut out. A broken rib, broken thumb and bad gravel rash on my arm!.
Lesson learned... Never riding bare armed again!!!.
Bought this off here a while ago. It was being sold as spares or repairs as it had a puncture and one of the pads were missing.
I have fitted a new inner tube. Removed the one remaining pad and added some sponge tape in place of the pads. In my honest opinion it could do with the original pads or some aftermarket ones fitted for better comfort.
The handle is quite battered and sticks a bit when being lowered, but it does it's job so didn't look into getting a replacement.
The wheel works as it should. The lights all work and the battery holds a good charge and seems to last forever!.
I have only covered approximately 30 miles on this wheel as I prefer my S18 for longer rides, and my Mten3 for playing around on.
Open to offers, or would be interested in swaps for something else fun....
This is my first wheel that I learnt on. When I got it, it had handle bars and a seat. I chopped the handle bars off as they made it way to hard to ride, and road it round with just the seat for a while.... I eventually tried standing up on it and found it easier than seated, so I cut the seat off. Then I bought my S18 and this has sat in the corner ever since. I'm now thinking I'd like to try and make something out of it, but not sure what. Any of you have any good ideas?. I wondered if I could remove the motor out of the middle and spoke it into a 24" rim to use on my recumbent trike.... But then how would I control it??.....
My new stand for my S18 arrived today!. The base bar could've done with being a bit wider to make it more stable, but I understand why they're not. Overall I'm very pleased with it.
Gotway Mten3 84v 512wh For Sale or SWAP. I bought my Mten a few months ago for my son and step son to learn on. I've since bought them one each and for their birthdays. I thought it would be good for the 3 of us to be riding the same wheels, but I much prefer my S18. It has covered 296 miles, but most of them by the kids lol. It has had a cover on from day one. It does have a couple of very small scuffs on the black plastic trim and the pedals are quite scratched. It runs and rides perfect and has no issues whatsoever. The mileage will go up slightly as it's still being used occasionally. The Mten is very easy to ride slowly and is so nimble. Anything over 20mph scares me, although I have reached 23mph without falling off!! lol.
I might be interested in a deal with a bigger/faster wheel, or some other kinda toy ie scooter etc
My mum is making neoprene covers for our Mten3's. This was the first prototype...
The finished ones should be done by Tuesday. They've now got cut outs for the handle with Velcro fastenings. I'll upload pictures when they are complete.
