It would be interesting to know what happened and to get the stats of how many caught fire. They will also need to get use to these things and plan for other types of fires as batteries are not going to get less.
Andre Mostert I tried to trace and find the indicated batteryfire ... nothing to be found. Reminds me of the allegedly seen drones at the airport. Everyone blamed drone pilots, the law became more restrictive (european law too, totally needless due to later Brexit) and two weeks later Scottland Yard published it's report: no evidence for presence of any drone or whatsoever. Same story at the second incident some weeks later. Shame on Germans too ... drone sighting at Frankfurt Airport was totally legal, below the mark of 30 m and more than 2 km away from airport's boundaries.
Media reported about supposed crime and noone put it right, when the evidence appeared. That's making me really angry. It's just politics and not true and the good, experienced and trustworthy users suffer from such bullshit.
But when the all new Samsung Note mobiles caught fire during a flight on an airplane no mobiles were banned on planes ... maybe these are a most important badge of the status of politicians or journalists?
Old Trapper yes this is so right. We never hear the final story in the news as they have moved on and even if it was not like its reported it already set the tone. What is the chance they going to ban phone its like electric bikes. But we can only hope that there might be light at the end of the tunnel and no one gives us trouble where we ride.
